Eastman Kodak 1915 Folding Camera
Eastman Kodak 1915 Folding Camera
This gorgeous vintage American camera was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company in the early 1900’s. I believe the particular model is an Eastman Kodak No 1 Pocket Kodak. It has fold out bellows that retract into a pocket-sized leather body. The body is also the protective carrying case and includes a leather handle though an additional outer bag (as pictured) is also included.
For those who appreciate, this camera has two very specific features: an autographic stylus (1915-1935) and the Autotime shutter scale (1910 - 1922). In reviewing the catalogues, both features only appeared on the 1915 model.
This particular camera uses 122 film which can be found through various independent sellers and is worth the hunt if you’d like to create some very stunning and authentic photographic images.
This camera is untested though there are no visible holes in the bellows so very well may be in perfect working order. On the whole, it is in impressively good condition for its age. Would be so fun to experiment with though even admiring its beauty on your shelf is still very satisfying!
