Organic Loose Leaf Green Teas
Asatsuyu
A complex and intriguing shade-grown Gyokuro tea with a savory broth-like flavor and satisfying tannins.
Meaning “morning dew” in English, Asatsuyu is prized for its rich flavor, exceptional aroma, and limited availability. Like our matchas, Asatsuyu is carefully shade-grown prior to harvesting. This process coaxes out all of the umami-rich compounds like theanine and chlorophyll while also decreasing the amount of astringent tannins resulting in a sweet and full-bodied cup.
What to expect from Asatsuyu: Dark green tea leaves that produce a slightly viscous and sweet cup rich in umami flavors like miso and nori seaweed.
Ingredients: Organic Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis)
Quantity: NET WT 2.82 OZ (80 g)
Care: Store in a cool, dark place in an airtight container. For optimal flavor please consume within 6 months of opening.

Kanayamidori is a premium sencha that showcases the kanayamidori cultivar (there are over 100 Japanese tea varieties) and the unique growing conditions of Kirishima, Japan. Kirishima’s constant sea breeze and volcanic soil lend this tea a bright and refreshing flavor that pairs well with the trademark creamy texture of kanayamidori.
What to expect from Kanayamidori: Dark green and glossy tea leaves that, when brewed, make for a refreshing cup with notes of lemon basil and kombu and a smooth finish.

Kirishima
An approachable green tea that is steamed for twice as long as our other teas, resulting in a slightly less bitter cup with a subtle floral character.
The dark and irregularly shaped leaves found in Kirishima are steamed for twice as long as typical senchas. This process produces an approachable tea with a mild flavor and an especially dark verdant color. This style is a relative newcomer to the world of Japanese green teas and is known for being refreshing and easy to brew. Kirishima is one of our favorite teas to drink cold.
What to expect from Kirishima: A coarse tea that, when brewed, results in a cup with light sediment, notes of cucumber and freshly cut grass, and a somewhat floral aftertaste.
